My landlord has just informed the tenants of the property in which I reside that The EH Officer has stated that one of the requisites of obtaining an HMO licence is as follows.
A person residing in what would be classed as a single occupancy is not allowed to have over night visitors, that the landlord is required to be aware of any visitors that are on the property,(this being effected by a visitor signing a register).
Is the above correct or is the landlord attempting to apply his own rules, and laying the reason for the ruling at the door of The EH Officer?
Thanks for any advice received.
