Debt Collector

Can anyone give me a pointer please for debt collectors. We're in North Lincolnshire. Rather than threaten our tenants with court proceedings (although we appreciate we still may have to do this if things do not improve) we want to try a doorstep presence to contain the position. Must be legal though, we don't want big blokes calling with baseball bats!
If anyone knows of any recognised debt agents/collectors in this region we'd grateful for details.
