Sorry if I have posted this in the wrong forum, but most people read this one.

Next to one of my properties is a double fronted block that has been sat empty for years and is a total eye-sore. I need to find out who holds the deeds so that I may put an offer in to buy it. I have put my feelers out but no-one wants to own up to owning the block, so who can I ask to get the info required?

Thanks for any help.
DSO.

Log on to the Land Registry website..

Navigate to forms & publications...

Download form 'SIM' (Search of Index Map)

Fill in as much detail as possible ie postal address of property in question...

Enclose a cheque for £4 made payable to Land registry...

Send the completed form to your local LR office...

A few days later you will receive the info you require from the LR in the post.

Good Luck!

John

Whoops...!

Sorry for my previous posting...

The form you require is 'form 313' and is the first form on the LR list of downloadable forms

Download the form as per previous posting

Yeah, you can use snail mail if you want.

Dirty Stop Out, I used the Land Registry website to find out the registered owner of a property just last week www.landregisteronline.gov.uk.

To find out the property's title register entry costs £2. I chose to download it straightaway. I have it saved on my hard disk now.

To look at the title plan and other documents will cost an additional £2, but that's a choice you make.

Alternatively, log on to http://www.landreg.gov.uk/, pay £2, and get the info you require 20 seconds later!
