Hi Everyone
I was trying to find an "introduce yourself" thread, but couldn't find one, so excuse me if I'm not supposed to post a little introduction here.
I've been lurking, reading posts for sometime and find it all very interesting.
I've been successfully letting out my own properties for the last 5 years, in the last few years this has grown by 9 other properties these are owned by close friends. All these houses are in Northern Ireland.
I am at the stage where I would like to set up my own Letting Agency in Northern Ireland and expand the amount of properties managed. I have worked within prestige car sales and would like to bring the same high level of customer service to the NI letting industry.
From my own experience, the customer service and advice relating to compliance is very poor in NI. Although the letting agents over here are mostly Estate agents which seem to do lettings as a side line. No offense to any NI letting agent there are some who are some good.
My question is, for landlord out there that don't use a letting agent, what would be need to temp you to go with an agent and what put you off using an agent.
Hope that doesn't seem to up front for my first post.
