i'm considering purachsing a 3 bed house with an annex to let as 7 single rooms

the annex is self contained and has it own front door, kitchen, bathroom etc.. I was wondering how involved it would be to convert the deeds and convert it into a separate address ? Is that possible at all ? Would the electricity and water and gas need to be on a separate supply ? Is it a form of planning persmission if you are effectively creating a new property in the road ?

sorry for all the questions, tried googling this with no luck. Thanks in advance to anyone who can offer any help on this grey area.

Re title deeds (or registered title), conveyancing aspects are irrelevant. To use the annexe separately does not involve any alteration in those.

Postal addresses are determined by Royal Mail and local authority together.

Hi

I would also suggest that you discuss the proposal with the Local planning and Building Control departments. There may be issues with fire regulations and a change of use.

Hope this helps.
