View Full Version : how do planning determine if a property is an HMO

hi there

looking for some help - does anyone know how planning dept determine if a property is an HMO - they have told me that they dont use the HMO definition in the housing act but cant give me another definition

6 or less people sharing a household with shared facilities is counted as a self contained dwelling.... that is your starting point.

the property has 7 flats - 6 share facilities and one is self contained

any ideas?
