Are all landlords aware of the present LHA which was approved by the government.

Are you one of the many landlords that are having the same problems regarding tenants receiving cheques for housing benefit and not paying the landlord.

We have recently taken this story to the Birmingham mail. It was printed on the 19/06/09. The news article can be found on Birmingham Mail website under news. We are hoping to get all Landlords in this situation who are losing money to come forward so we can approach the government about this matter and let them know about how much money landlords are losing.

Since the story has been published we have had some response. So far we have had about six landlords come to us with this same problem. An estimated £81,000 has been lost between these landlords. We would appreciate other landlords across the country to come forward and let us know how this has affected them and how much they have lost.

As an individual claim. It is only dealt with as a on off claim per landlord but if all landlords come forward it will be dealt with on a biggar scale and we should get a better response from the government, as they will see what this piggybank is costing the landlords and it may open up the eyes of the government. We may get the government to reconsider the LHA policy back to its original, as the government will see the total losses for the landlord which may put alot of landlords out of business. As the private sector of landlords is very much required we are really hoping that this ruling will be changed.
