Hi all, just a quick question.
I've recently become a joint freeholder for a block of flats. As we are responsible for the communal electrics (hallway lights etc), are there any regulations we have to meet regarding the electrical installation?
Any advice gratefully received. Thank you!

Get a registered electrician to perform a 10 year test on the communal electric system and issue a certificate of good insulation condition.

What do the leases say? They should clearly define extent of each unit demised, extent of common parts etc., and items:
a. for which responsibility is L's; and
b. for which responsibilty is T's.
