View Full Version : Is a £10k budget to fit out a flat realistic or hopelessly naive?

Hello

I have just bought a repossession and it needs, well, a bit of work. Squalid is not the word.

I am on a seriously tight budget in terms of doing the bathroom and kitchen (everything else will be hard graft and painting parties).

As such, it'll be the cheapest that IKEA can supply but will I be able to buy a cheap kitchen, appliances, bathroom, tiles and flooring and get the whole thing done (including VAT) for £10k? It's a small galley kitchen and a tiny bathroom.

Thanks - please redirect me if this is in the wrong thread as well. Thanks!

Wickes do a perfectly adequate bathroom and kitchen set for under a 1000GBP each. That should leave you plenty to get it all fitted and tidied up.

I agree. £10,000 seems more than enough unless your fitters charge you an extortionate amount.

We have had IKEA kitchens and it's worth going for mid-range if you can - but they are good value, whatever.
