Hi

anyone able to give me a rough guide on working out the rebuild of a small block of flats

5 flats in a 3 storey 1970-'s block, flat roof - say 15m X11m ground area
( only one flat on ground , as the storeys above overhang a driveaway)

The rebuild cost should be calculated by multiplying the floor area x a rate given in the quarterly BCIS journal ( published by RICS ). The rate also depends on the site location as London weighting is x % higher .

A VERY VERY rough guide may be 1000 pounds per sq meter but for purchasing building insurance purposes , you should ask a company having Chartered Surveyor to provide a current valuation.
