Hi i have a question. My LL served us notice to quite which expires on the 25 March. I have found a place to move, which i will be paying for from the 15th, i just wanted to find out whether legally i can pay my current LL pro-rota till the 15th or do i have to pay for the whole of this month even if i will be moving out by the 15th?
cheers

there can be no "notice to quit" as far as residential tenancies are concerned ... what did your landlord's notice say, and what were the terms of your agreement?

if the landlord has given you notice to leave correctly and this in fact does end on the 25th then you are liable for rent until the 25th. You can both agree to terminate the contract early on the 15th if you like but your LL would need to agree.
