Allowable Expenses- insurance premium payments

I've just spotted on a Letting Agencies website that as part of the Allowable Expenses that can be offset against rental income, they've shown Building Insurance, Contents Insurance and Mortgage Protection Insurance.

Can anyone confirm that these 3 are definitely offsettable as i've not heard of the Mortagage Protection Insurance one before.

Whyever not?

If you didn't have the house, then (presumably!) you wouldn't be paying the MPI - ergo it is expenditure wholly and exclusively for the purpose of the business.
