TDS information for tenants; is agent responsible?

Do letting agents have to give there Tenant written information as to where the deposit is held or can it oral.

If Written or Oral what details have to be given by law?

I think this should be done in writing, but I am finding it hard to see where the Order specifically states this.At the very least, the certificate has to be in writing.

if the monies are protected under the TDS scheme then a certificate should be printed off and provided to the tenants.

we attached the Prescribed Information to the tenancy agreement so they sign for it.
