View Full Version : Starting Out

I am just starting out, I have an office, a phone and have my experience mainly in residential sales.

What are the basics that I need to get started, as I am not keen on paying £600 odd pound out for a coarse!

I am keen to start asap, and am aware of the basics of lettings, but unsure on setup requirements.

Any help would be appreciated.

Many thanks

I think that £600 would be the best thing you could do to spend on a course.

Lettings/rentals can and are a complex profession and you will have to have the knowledge to deal with most situations. If you are asking landlords to pay you to look after properties the best thing you can do is be professional about it.

As red40 says. It is a false economy to save money on not getting the proper training, as this will lose you money in the long run, and make it less likely for you to be successful.

Well I am currently doing the Certificate in Residential Letting, what I purely meant was do I need to spend a further sum of £600 for guidance issues, as well as what are the first steps to setting up a letting agency!
