Can someone clarify for me (I know theres umpteen thousands threads on here about it but this is one area I cant get my head around);
AST began on 20th July 2007, fixed term for 6 months (ending 19th January 2008). Deposit protected etc. At same time tenant issued with a s21(1)(b) notice which states;
I give you noice under section 21 of the housing act 1988 that I require possesion of the dwelling know as (XXAdressXX) after 19/01/2008.
Tenant has stayed on in a periodic, is the above notice still valid? what notice period does tenant have to give? usual 1 months ending on the 19th of a month? or leave at anytime as possiesion is required after 19/01/2008?
