Accession Exhibitions & Publishing Ltd, which runs the Landlord & Buy to Let Shows is on target to increase company turnover despite difficult trading conditions for property show organisers.

The independent organiser is set to beat last year’s figures after enjoying record visitor numbers at its show in Olympia in March. It also walked away with significant sales for its next London event following the company’s June show at Manchester Central.

Managing director, Oliver Romain, says: “The company is on target for a 10 per cent increase in turnover, the lion’s share of which will come from exhibition sales. Many property related shows are suffering at the moment and at least two have gone bust in the last year, however we have a more sustainable business model focusing exclusively on the private rented sector.

Whatsmore, unlike other shows we do not charge a fee to attend seminars, so we are better value all round. Romain also pointed to a newly introduced show feature, which saw landlords receiving free personal advice from industry experts in an all day ‘Landlord Clinic.’

The feature will run at the next London show in September and the organiser is also launching an awards event to celebrate the best landlords and suppliers, to coincide with its show in October at the NEC.

Accession’s recent Manchester show also featured on Radio 4′s ‘You and Yours’ consumer affairs programme, culminating in a live interview with the organiser. Oliver commented: “It was a real privilege to be interviewed as part of the Radio 4 feature.

You and Yours has a strong reputation for honest reporting of the property industry, the feature was very balanced and showed the private rented sector and our show in a positive light.”
