The LandlordZONE Journal – “LandlordLOG
September 2005 – Issue 001
===========================================================
The UK Housing Act 2004 heralds one of the biggest changes for landlords for many years. The changes, which will be phased in over the coming months and years, will bring the UK letting market to a new level of regulation and will particularly affect HMO and student landlords, but all landlords will be affected in some way.

Some landlords – and experienced ones at that – are already showing signs of fright when it comes to more regulation and bureaucracy, and particularly the idea of licensing and “Fit and Proper Persons. Some are voting with their feet and selling up! However, every crisis presents opportunities: HMOs and student lets return extremely good yields if you are prepared to develop the expertise and put the extra management time into them.
Making money from property will inevitably get tougher as a booming property market goes into a decline phase, so developing property management expertise can guarantee long-term success – LandlordZONE, the “Rental Property Knowledge web site can help you do it!
Regards,
Tom Entwistle, Editor
