Put quite simply, landlords cannot afford to keep their properties This alarming figure prompted UPad’s pioneering initiative of a Webinar aimed at Landlords and Letting Agents to be broadcast on Thursday the 29th of April at 1pm and as a recorded broadcast at 8pm the same day. There are many things that landlords can do to keep their Accommodation occupied and earning income, so the aim of the Webinar is to give landlords some really practical tips and answer their questions about how to reduce voids and improve rental profitability. Making money from rental property, at least in the short-term, is going to be about securing a steady and growing rental income - the days of exponential capital growth and instant buy-to-let millionaires are over for now, if they ever existed at all for most of us. For the average landlord, and a large section of the landlord community are part-time landlords, this means improving the way you manage your rentals and your lettings skills. Anyone viewing the recent BBC Panorama programme, “Is Britain Full” cannot helpcoming away with the impression that there’s a really healthy future for the UK landlord. With a population expected to top 70m over the next 20 years it seems inevitable that land and housing costs will continue to rise, shutting increasing numbers of first time buyers out and inevitably resulting in more and more renting. “The Office of National Statistics say that over the next two decades the UK population is on course to grow by eight million to 70m.
